Political Reality - An Essay

After listening to Radiohead's songs I decided to pay a visit to their official site, which is my first. It decided to embrace the blog concept, where personal experiences are shared ahead of the plain black background. Also interesting is one of the content which links us to an interesting essay called 'Political Reality'. It touches on global warming and points out why reversing or slowing its effects isn't going to happen. Link here Political Reality.

The truth is scary and we are already feeling it's heat. Bring life to years later and we have something badder than today's bad.

Radiohead - 4 Minute Warning

Radiohead is always bent on eccentric when it comes to music. It may not fit for some but suits just fine for me. '4 Minute Warning' has this lulling effect, appeasing and vaguely disturbing in a positive way. This is distinctly Radiohead sound. No other bands come close.

Ip-Man (5 out of 5 stars, I promise!)

'Ip-Man' is not a superhero distinction like Superman, Batman or Ironman. It's a name pronounced as 'yip-mun' belonging to a revered Wing Chun master in the 1930's in Fo Shan town, China.

I promise that this will be a good movie to watch.

BBQ Nite

One of the assistant cook (aisey)

Looks really juicy!!!

I don't know why but it is almost natural to have a barbecue when it's approaching the new year. Just last night my mom decided to hold a mini bbq feast at home for us and some close relatives. The preparation went very well last night with the exception of the barbecued fish which was left too long above the burning embers.

This has been the second BBQ I had for December. The earlier one was catered last week at Kundasang where the size of the family is much larger and merrier. And something tells me that there will be another coming soon...

You Don't Know Me - Ben Folds feat. Regina Spektor

Show Us Some Love - RapSoul

One listen to their music, immediately one can feel its vibrant energy. RapSoul is a local, originally, 6 member group whom I had the pleasure to meet a few years back. These guys are down to earth and cool. They run a blog at RapSoul Blog where you can listen to one of their latest song and judge for yourself how talented they are.

Unfortunately, their pursuit in realizing a musical career have been stifled by various obstacles and hence hasn't been able to prove to society how incredibly talented they are. I believe there is a huge untapped potential here. Show your support by visiting their blog and give moral support to these guys. They deserve all the praise for their initiative.

Show some Love! Peace!

Free Ebooks on Forex

Thought I share a site that provides resource on forex and is free -mundoforex.net.

John Templeton

Extract from http://ezinearticles.com/?expert_bio=John_Templeton

John Templeton has been a long time trader of the forex market. Like so many traders, he had a hard time generating profits.

It wasn't until he discovered that all the relevant information that was needed to trade forex successfully was hidden behind all his indicators, that it finally dawned on him why he wasn't making money.

After he completely wiped off the indicators from his charts and studied the concepts of price action and price movement did he become a successful trader.

That was two years ago and he has been trading forex full time ever since.

He's developed his own forex trading strategy based on price action, in which he uses price action patterns that form key support and resistance areas to spot where the future price of currencies are headed, by always trading with the trend.

To help educate struggling traders, he has written a course on his trading method called Trading In The Buff. www.tradinginthebuff.com

Massive Attack

While thinking about music, I recalled a band named Massive Attack, from the UK, bringing on the Trip Hop genre to form. The album, Mezzanine, was released in 1998 and if my memory serves me right, I first heard it in 99 from my uncle's collection. His taste is eclectic with a bit of blues and jazz bias.

Trip hop music is self explanatory for it gives us the impression of a 'trippy' feel when we listen to them.

I was actually thinking of a particular music which I thought was composed by this band. It's in my head but I can't seem to pin point the originator. Anyway, here is a sample of Trip Hop from the UK. Also look at their official site which is something different - Observe the site's background. www.massiveattack.co.uk

Movie Nite

My wife and I did a last minute plan to watch Twilight at Growball Cinemax and we got tickets for the 7.10pm screening. We didn't realize that it was movie night tonight, so we got a little bit happy paying RM5 for each ticket.

Minutes before Twilight was showing, we went to the basement to scan for updates on DVD content. Usually we go for 4in1's which is value for money, and we always pay at a discounted price since the staff know we are regulars. This time we took the 4in1 combo of James Bond, Max Payne, House Bunny and High School Musical 3. And do take note that the purchase was made only because it has Quantum of Solace in it, and not High School Musical 3. :)

When we entered Growball Cinemax Hall 8, the seats were half full. I don't know why that night was an unfortunate experience for my wife who had to endure a stinking smell coming from the guy seating on her left. And apparently he came to watch the movie solo. I am not surprised at all. :)

While I enjoyed watching the movie without distractions of any kind, my wife wasn't able to feel the same. I could see that she was uneasy throughout the entire 2 hours.
Well, what to do ...

Twilight was a fun watch although the pace of the movie was quite slow at the beginning and you only have 1 fight scene and that too didn't last long. To sum it up, it is a vampire/human love story with a different twist - less violence and more of your teenage crush type scenes. Overall, I give Twilight 3.5 out of 5 stars.
