The Middle East - Blood

The now defunct Australian band, The Middle East left a legacy in their song 'Blood'. Above, a great cover rendition was done by students from 'god knows what institution'. I loved it. So much so that I have to post it.

The lyric is somewhat depressing but the music is of the opposite. This irony works well as you may have heard that death is not always associated to sadness. From another perspective, death is seen as the liberation of the soul into another life that's ever perpetual, and perhaps ageless. And that sense of being free is like the feeling of welcoming a new born into this earth - joyful.

Of Porcelain - You Are The Sun

I love the editing of this piece. I'm equally drawn to the music dubbed in this video and is credited to the band, Of Porcelain. It's downright amazing, a tranquil inducing vibe that resonates peacefully into my senses. There are, however, some nuances interrupting the stream of sonic bliss but it doesn't affect the relaxing sensation that overlaps any feeling of unease.
